Backyard slabs, covered-patio pads, and patio extensions. Sized to how you actually grill, sit, and host — not a generic 12x12.

| Covered-patio footers | $400–$1,200 |
| Hot-tub pad upgrade (5" + rebar) | +$200–$400 |

Typical 12x16 backyard patio: $1,150–$1,920 broom-finish, $1,900–$3,500 stamped.
Most homeowners undersize their patio. Here's a quick reference based on what we see actually getting used:
Bistro table for two, side table, two chairs. Fine for morning coffee. Tight for grilling.
Round table for six, grill in a corner, room to walk behind seated guests. The most-requested size in Pflugerville.
Rectangle table for eight, outdoor sofa + chairs, grill island, fire pit. Now you're hosting.
Going up one size adds 30–60% to the slab cost but doubles what you can do on it. Worth a thought before you commit.
"Stamped patio extension in Falcon Pointe. Crew on time every morning. The control joints they laid out actually match the stamp pattern — looks intentional, not patched in."
"Wanted a covered-patio pad with footers. They coordinated with the cover contractor so the post anchors landed in the right places. Saved us a redo."
"Resurfaced a 15-year-old patio in Blackhawk instead of tearing it out. Cost half a full replacement and looks new."
Standard broom-finish: $6–$10 per sq ft. A 12x16 patio (192 sq ft) is $1,150–$1,920. Stamped or colored: $1,900–$3,500. Covered-patio footers add $400–$1,200.
Four inches for normal foot traffic and patio furniture. Five inches if a hot tub or large grill island is going on it. Add footers if posts for a cover are involved.
Yes. We dowel-drill rebar into the existing slab and form a control joint at the seam. New concrete cures lighter than old for 6–12 months but blends over time. Resurfacing both for a uniform look is also an option.
Walking: 24–48 hours. Furniture: 7 days. Hot tub or heavy load: 28 days for full cure.
Depends on what you value. Stamped concrete is lower maintenance and won't shift over time. Pavers can be individually replaced but weeds and unevenness need ongoing attention. Full comparison →
Most Pflugerville HOAs (Stone Hill, Blackhawk, Falcon Pointe) approve backyard patio extensions if drainage isn't affected and the finish doesn't clash. We prep the ARC submittal package.
